Kate's 8th birthday party

Kate has a love for Shopkins, so we decided to have a Shopkins party this year.  We invited 14 girls over to make candy necklaces, face painting and games followed by snacks and opening presents.

Thursday afternoon I baked cookies all afternoon (I was so lucky that Will took a big nap that day!!!)
Then Friday night, Jes, Kate, Alex and I decorated the cookies. They are Shopkins themed of course!

Kate and I set up 4 stations upstairs for the girls!

she was ready to party!

Here's all our Shopkins themed food:

these are rice krispie treats!
Now on to the party!  We ended up having 13 girls here!  Kate and I were lucky to have Gram, Aunt Jes and Aunt Kristin here to help us!

Kristin did a amazing job with the face painting!!!!

After all the girls played the games, got their face painted and made a candy necklace, we headed downstairs for snacks and to sing happy birthday.  And yes, that candle is in a rice krispie that looks like a donut!

I think these sweet girls could have sat at the table talking and hanging out for the whole party!
And then Kate opened presents.

Kate had a great time at her party and I think her friends did too!!!

Special thanks to Gram, Aunt Jes and Aunt Kristin for all your help during the party!!  And to PawPaw and Mike for watching the boys!
