Snow!!!

I can't believe the amount the snow I saw come down today!! Crazy!! I was probably the most excited about it in the family! Kate wasn't all that interested. I wish she was a little older to be able to enjoy it!

more photos of 17 mths

17 mths!

I can't believe it, but our little KatieBug is 17 mths!! She is such a joy in our lives! She is super sweet, always giving everyone a kiss and always loving on any stuffed animals. She loves when we sing to her. She is learning the movements to the Itsy Bitsy Spider and loves If You are Happy and You Know it.n Singing If you are happy to her is the best way for us to get Kate to point out her body parts. She now knows her nose, tongue, head, hair, month, ears, chin, shoulders, bellybutton, knees, toes, hand and finger. She can also point out a dog in all her books, she still loves for us to read to her. She is still a pretty good eater, but if there is something on the table that she wants more than whats on her plate--she will not eat what's on her plate pretty much until you give her what she wants!! Stubborn! She also has learned to climb on the furniture. She is still sleeping all night and about every other day takes a good 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon.
Last week at our weekly music class, she really warmed up and was making everyone laugh! I don't know if everything just finally clicked for her or what but she was laughing a ton and actually participating in the songs! It was super cute!!

This past week, Mike's Dad was in town but sadly left on Wednesday morning. PawPaw and Mike took Kate to Jungle Java and had a great time!! Kate and I had a playdate with Jax & Cassie and then on Saturday attended a birthday party. It was at Hippin Hippo, which was new to us, and Kate had a great time. Sunday afternoon we took Kate to Creekside Park, it was a beautiful day!!

OH and I have not been taking that many pictures lately, but I stepped it up this week!

Throwing up

Well, last week was a long week. Kate's molars are still trying to come in and she was fussy most of the week. I was throwing up a lot and well just really feeling yucky! I hope I am not scarring Kate for life by throwing up into the sink almost every morning! She just seems to look at me and then drink her milk and eat a cheerio. I finally did go out at night-Wednesday my Mom's group had our bookclub meeting and I had a great time! It was great to see everyone and I made it thought the evening without throwing up!!
This weekend, Mike's Dad came into town so he gave me a bit of a break. We really didn't do much but watch the Olympics. And that's how we spent Valentines Day, also, just watching the Olympics.

I hope everyone had a great Valentines day!

Bad Mommy

Well, this weekend I had a bad Mommy moment. In an attempt to fed Kate more healthy snacks, I found that she likes apples! So for a snack Friday morning, I gave her apple slice after apple slice. Also, she is getting her moles in so I know that the apple had to feel good on her gums. Well, I gave her WAY too many apples and she got a Major diaper rash!!! She was screaming every time we changed her diaper!! She was screaming, Mike was holding her down and well I was crying and trying to clean her and apply the diaper rash cream. Well Friday night and Saturday it looked pretty bad, but by Sunday morning, there was no more screaming with a diaper change. It's amazing to me how fast the rash came and then how fast it was gone.

So Mommy lesson learned--don't give Tons of apple slices at one time!!!

On a happy note, we did finally have a nice day on Saturday and we took Kate to the park down the street. She had a great time!

Construction is finally over!!

Yes, the upstairs is finally done!! Kate loves her new playroom and Mike has even brought a new couch for his new media room! I think it looks great and I can't wait for the future when we will have all our kids playing in their playroom, while Mike and I relax in our media room--one of these days that will happen right??

Baby B

I had my first doctor appointment for "baby B" on Thursday. We were 7 weeks and 4 days along at that time. Our due date is Sept 12. I am feeling ok. Just tired and lots of nausea in the afternoon. There are certain things I seem to not be able to smell or eat, like chicken! But I don't think that I am as sick as I was last time. I am just hoping that this feeling leaves me at 13 weeks just like it did last time!!

Robertson Cousin Reunion

Kate and I headed to Jes & Brian's house on Thursday night to spend the night due to the painting of the upstairs (I will post photos of the upstairs when it is finished! Hopefully by tomorrow!) Thanks guys for having us! Friday morning, Kate and I headed to Dallas to stay with my cousin Jenn. It was a long drive that morning in the rain the whole way there!! By Friday night in Dallas it had gotten so cold and it was snowing!!! On Saturday morning when we headed out it was 25 degrees!! YIKES!! But we had a great time seeing our Robertson cousins. We saw our cousins Will and his wife, Mandy and their too cute twins who also live in Dallas, our cousin Allison who drove in from Shreveport and her daughter, Annie and their parents Marsha and John. Kate had a great time playing with Annie. We had lunch with them and just all enjoyed each others company. We tried really hard to get a picture of all four kids, but Annie would NOT have a part of it, so we did the best we could! The twins are 6 months old and Annie will be 2 in Feb.

Thanks to Jenn and Vincent for having us and to Will and Mandy for letting us have a place to all get together!!

Kate loved rocking in her rocking chair that is just her size!
