We are finally all feeling better!!!

We are all finally better!!  After my blog post Tuesday, on Wednesday morning we headed to the Dr again, this time for Alex and me.  We both had the walking pneumonia and Alex also had a sinus infection.  Mike is still gone on a business trip, so we are all just hanging around trying to get better.  Poor Kate had to miss dance and soccer practice on Thursday since Alex and I were both feeling so bad.  Kate finally went back to school on Friday and I was almost feeling back to normal.

Saturday was a hard day for me.  One of the moms in my Mommy group lost her husband on Tuesday.  His funeral was on Saturday in San Antonio.  I was lucky enough that Kristin took Kate to soccer, while Blake watched Alex and then Gram took Kate to see the Little Mermaid play while Kristin watched Alex.  My friend's husband didn't know he had diabetics and ended up on life support in critical condition last Friday.  He had no potassium in his body due to his diabetics and his heart stopped.  He left behind his daughter, Vivian, who is not even 2 yet.  It was a really beautiful service and I was glad that I could be there to support my friend Crystal.  Her husband was only 32.

Mike came home Saturday night and we were ALL so happy to have him home safe and sound!!!

Monday we were all feeling normal again, except the kiddos still have an occasional cough.  Kate went to school and I took Aberlee and Alex to feed the ducks, well turtles, and to the park.

Sick House

We are a sick house right now!!

Kate had a bad cough last week & by Thursday afternoon she could hardly catch her breath. She was wheezing really bad & I was so happy to have some Albuterol to give her breathing treatments. Then her fever shot up to 103 degrees!

We headed to the Dr Friday morning after breathing treatments every four hours. Dr Owens tested her for strep & flu, which was both negative. She thought it was just a virus, but thought it might be mycoplasma (walking pneumonia). I talked her out of doing the blood test since the Albuterol was working. Well, boy was I wrong!! By Sunday the steroids didn't seem to be helping at all and she wasn't any better & seemed worse even! She had crackles in her lungs & still had fever. The Dr just listened to her lungs & diagnosed her with walking pneumonia.

Aberlee starting running fever Monday, after coughing all night & went to the Dr today. Alex started running fever today after coughing all night last night. I don't feel well either!!

Mike is of course back in Europe! Hopefully, by the time he gets home Saturday we will all be well!!

On Thursday, I took Kate and Alex to feed the ducks at Mills Pond.  They were super excited until a geese attacked Jax!!  I think it scared Kate and I more than it did him!  I now know NOT to fed the geese!  Even though Kate was crying and wanted to go home, we walked out onto the pier and ended up having a great time feeding the ducks!

Then that night, Mike FINALLY came home!!  He was gone for 17 days!

Friday Aunt Kristin and Uncle Blake signed on their new house in our neighborhood!!!  So exciting!

On Saturday, we headed out for a very early 8am soccer game, followed by a family walk!  Kate and Alex rode their bikes, while I pulled Aberlee in the wagon.  After our walk, we had lunch and then headed to Noah's Batman birthday party!  Alex was so wore out from the day that he fell asleep on the way home from the party at 4:30 and then went to bed!  Poor buddy!

Sunday the guys went to watch golf so we had Aberlee and Aunt Kristin over to play outside!

With Mike still being gone and also Kristin and Blake being gone--I didn't feel up to taking all 3 kiddos to soccer practice, so Cassie was nice enough to pick up Kate and let me watch Reese!  It was so fun to just have the, as I call them, the 3 amigos together and not the big kids!!  We played outside, since it was so perfect out and I took them on a wagon ride.

Kate and I joined our friends Laura and Noah to watch the play Pippi Longstocking downtown at the Austin Scottish Rite Theater.  It was a fun play and the kiddos loved it!  It also happened to be Noah's birthday!

Single mom of 3 Saturday!!

Kristin and Blake are back in St Louis to watch the movers pack up their house so with Mike still being in Europe for work, I am a single Mom of 3 right now!  Here are pictures from our Saturday!  It started with a soccer game for Kate!
