Trip to Glen Rose Tx

Due to Will being born this past summer, we really haven't gone on any family trips in a while.  So since soccer is over, we decided to take a little family trip.  We headed to Glen Rose, Texas to try to see dinosaur tracks, but the tracks are in a river bed and with all the rain they were under water.  Luckily right by the state park, there is Dinosaur World.  It was cold and windy, but he had a great time!

Next we headed out for lunch and then to Fossil Rim, which is a huge drive thur Safari.  We could go Saturday afternoon and then again Sunday morning.

beautiful views

we all loved seeing the cheetahs

so funny--eating food off our van!
Kids loved being out the sun roof and feeding the animals.  The funniest part was when we thought we had run over a turkey, but really a turkey was attacking us!!  so crazy!

We headed to the hotel and then headed back to Fossil Rim in the morning.  It was in the 30s so we won't let the kids out the sun roof.  Alex was completely afraid of the animals when the window was down, but Kate loved it!

It was a great little family get away!!  I can't wait for the next one!
