Flying a kite

We took a break from fishing and went to fly some kites!  Kate and Alex both held on to the kites all by themselves!  But Alex did let go and Timmy (Uncle Brian and Aunt Jes' dog) fetched the kite!!!  It was so funny!  Wish I had gotten it on video!

As always, we had a great time fishin' at my parents pond!  We caught lots of fish and had lots of fun!  Kate loved fishing and well Alex did alot of whining about, well, everything!

Coloring Easter Eggs

Aunt Jes, MeMe, the kids and I dyed Easter Eggs together! Of course, Alex only wanted to make blue eggs and wanted to write Reese and Aberlee's name on all the eggs!

Bowling

Before heading to Alice for Easter, Kate and I joined some friends to go bowling!

It took a while for the kids to understand that they had to wait their turn to bowl, but after a few rounds they got the hang of it!  Kate bowled a 71 the first game and a 59 the second game.  She was so cute running up to push the ball!

Oh my sweet baby boy is 2 1/2!!!  I can't believe it!  Where has the time gone?

He is still the smartest little boy ever.  His vocabulary I think is better than mine!!  And he uses words like actually, too and even though.

He is really funny & makes the best facial expressions ever!  He is always making us laugh!

He is totally in love with all superheroes!  He refuses most days to wear a shirt without Spider-Man on it!  He loves to wear his Spider-Man gloves and throw his web at you!  When he sees someone else attempting to throw a web he will correct you if your hand isn't right!! He loves all the good superheroes and doesn't like the bad superheroes in his room!!

He calls Reese his best friend & him & Aberlee are super close!!  They always hug each other & even though they now see each other almost every day, when they do see each other --it's like it's been years! So cute!  The 3 of them go to preschool together & love it.  Alex did get in trouble for the first time at school this week.  He throw a toy & Ms Paula asked him to pick it up & he said "no!"  He had a time out & then was ok the rest of the day.

I think he has a huge pain tolerance because I think he has an ear infection all the time!  The only signs he ever shows is a running nose & a cough.  His behavior is a little worse, but since he is 2, it's hard to tell!!  He sleeps all night & never complains!!  He has one now & you would never know it!

We haven't really started potty trained officially, but he will sometimes sit on the potty.  He did go #1 on the potty once and I celebrate by dancing around singing & then he started crying!  He likes to wear underpants (backwards)over his diapers!

He has a great memory & great imagination!  Mike and I love to hear him play through the baby monitor. 

He is still a big Mama's boy, but doesn't cry anymore when I leave him at preschool or at the rec center nursery.

We love our Alex and I can't believe he is 2 1/2 years old already!

On Saturday, Kate had a 8am game before Aberlee's bday party.  Kate was the most popular player with her Gram, PawPaw, Aunt Jes, Uncle Brian, Mike, Alex and myself there to cheer her on!
