Vacation recovery

So we got back from our Disney trip late Monday night and we started back to the real world on Tuesday.  Kate went to school while Alex and I went to HEB and unpacked.  Thursday was a busy day with both kids having well checks in the morning and then we headed to their favorite park.  Dr Owens said both kids looked great.  She noticed that Kate has legs that go on forever and told me not to worry so much about Kate's jealously toward Alex.  She was, as always, amazed by how smart Alex is!
After missing 3 weeks of dance and soccer due to Alex being sick, then Kate and then being at Disney, Kate was so excited to go back to dance and not as excited for soccer.

Friday Mike and I had a much needed date night and Kate was so excited to see our babysitter.  She has been asking about her for weeks!

Saturday the kids were both in crappy moods, which I think from staying up late the night before, but Kate had a soccer game.  Kate was not excited to play soccer, but she did play and she even touched the ball during the game (well it really just rolled to her feet).
Then we did our yearly trip to the Elgin Pumpkin Festival.  Both kids fell asleep on the way there, and seemed in better moods than they had been that morning. Then we went to visit Papa Bear and Gammo.

Then we watched the Pirates of the Caribbean movie, due to riding the ride at Disney.  Busy day!  Glad it rained all day Sunday and we stayed in!
