Bounce House

We headed out to a bounce house by Gram and PawPaw's house Thursday morning.  Kate had a major meltdown while we were there, but other than that we had a great time.  That is until we got home and I noticed a rash all over Alex's belly and back!  We headed back to the Urgent Care that afternoon.  The doctor wasn't sure if it was a reaction to the antibiotic or if he had the virus Roseola the whole time.  His ears looked better, but since she wasn't sure if the ears were caused by a virus or bacteria, she gave us a new antibiotic.  Poor baby.  Luckily he takes this antibiotic without any problems!

DE beach

On Wednesday, Alex and I were feeling better so we all headed out to the beach!  Kate had a great time playing in the sand and the water.  Alex sat on the beach towel and played in the sand.  He is still not a fan of sand.  He also was refusing to take his antibiotic so we had to hold him down to get him to take it--it was pretty horrible!  But it seemed he was getting better.

After playing on the beach, we had lunch.  Then we walked around the cute boardwalk!  Kate had some ice cream and then Alex fell asleep!  It was a really nice day!

Poor Alex

Alex seemed to be running a slight fever on Friday, but seemed to be gone on Saturday.  On Sunday morning he woke up hot again and kept complaining that his mouth hurt.  By Monday morning I was ready to take him to the doctor.  He really wasn't acting like himself and had some bumps on his feet.  We figured he had hand/foot/mouth virus, due to him complaining about his mouth and the bumps on his feet.  We took him to an Urgent Care on Monday morning.  He was diagnosed with hand/foot/mouth virus, due to the sores in his mouth and his feet and double ear infections.  My poor baby!

On Tuesday I started to feel bad so Alex and I stayed home, while Kate and Gram headed out to the zoo and the mall.  The had a great fun day!

Saturday night we all headed back to Philly for Jen Smith's wedding.  All 3 kiddos stayed with 2 teenage girls from Gram and PawPaw's neighborhood.  We had a great time!

Philly Zoo

You know I was looking forward to going to DE to get out of the heat, but I think it followed us there!!  We all headed to the Philly Zoo on Wednesday.  Gram & Kristin got the girls matching outfits and Alex matched with his yellow!

It was hot, so this felt so good!
