Of course when Daddy is gone . . .

The kiddos get sick!!

Sunday night Gram flew in & then Mike flew out Monday afternoon for a business trip to Turkey.

So since he is gone Kate started coughing & then Alex had a fever!! Both kiddos had runny noses on Tuesday & then Alex had fever that afternoon. He is getting in 4 teeth right now, so I think that's why he keeps getting an afternoon fever.

Yesterday I took Kate to preschool but I wasn't surprised when they called for me to pick her up. She was coughing a bunch that morning, but other than that seemed fine. She had a little fever & was breathing heavy. Then she started wheezing. I decided not to wait to take her to the dr & I'm glad I didn't! As the afternoon went on her wheezing just got worse & worse. She told me that she needed to see Dr Owens so she could get some medicine. She got a breathing tx & a dose of steroids in the office & a prescription for 3 more days of steroids. Dr. Owens thinks her wheezing was caused by her allergies.

She is much better today & will return to school tomorrow.

Alex had fever again last night, but has no other symptoms of anything. He has been fine today.

Bluebonnets 2012

The bluebonnets are out and BEAUTIFUL this year!  We attempted to take some pictures of the kiddos in the bluebonnets.  Kate did great, Alex not so great.  Right when he warmed up and decided to NOT be in my lap, Kate stepped in some ants!

"I want Mommy!"

This is the best one of the two of them together--oh well!

Hangin' at Metro Park

We have been having some beautiful weather in the afternoons lately, so we spent an afternoon at our favorite park Metro Park.

I love this!  So cute!

Sweet Berry Farm 2012

Thursday the kiddos and I and our friend Laura, and her 2 boys headed to Marble Falls to pick some strawberries at Sweet Berry Farm.  It had rained a few days before so it was a little muddy, and windy!!  But all four kids had a great time.  They ate a ton of strawberries and enjoyed petting the goats and horses.

Happy 3 1/2 birthday Kate!!

Kate is 3 1/2 years old today! Wow! We celebrated by letting her pick a treat at HEB, which was a chocolate covered donut with sprinkles AND sugar cookies with Pink frosting with sprinkles to celebrate tonight as a family.

She is so sweet and so stubborn and we love her a ton!

Our little ladybug

Lufkin Trip

After getting back from Montana on Monday afternoon, before I knew it, it was time to head to my Aunt Julie's in Lufkin on Friday morning!  Kate was super excited to go, she couldn't wait to see James and Emily!  We spent most of our time in the backyard enjoying the beautiful weather!  They have a above the ground pool, which I thought Kate would love, but she went under when she was trying to get in and then she wanted OUT!!  She ended up playing in the baby pool!    Saturday morning, Emily and James surprised Kate and Alex by hiding eggs in the backyard!  The kids loved trying to find all the eggs!  Then we headed over to the Lufkin Zoo and rode the train!  The kids had a great time!  We spent the afternoon again in the backyard.  Kate and James were playing all kinds of games and one of them happened to be washers.  Well, Kate was really good at it (just like her Daddy)!!  Sunday morning the kiddos played with confetti eggs and after lunch the kiddos and I headed home.  It was a great weekend with the Walkers!  Thanks for having us!
