Hope everyone is having a great Memorial Day! We spent this morning at my sister's pool & just watched Duke win the national championship in LaX. Go Duke!!

Our 4 year wedding anniversary!

Today Mike and I are celebrating 4 wonderful years of marriage together. What a great 4 years it has been!! Here are some photos from our special day:

Gammo

Mike's grandmother, Gammo, is probably in the middle of having her open heart by-pass surgury as I type this blog. Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this time. I will blog/email/facebook an update as soon as we know anything.

Help!

On Tuesday, when Kate and I arrived home from Alice, I was busy unpacking in our room. Kate was running around and then I realized she wanted on our bed and then I realized that she was saying "HELP." I thought I was going to start crying right then and there!! She said apple and uh-oh after my Mom and I were saying it, but she said Help all on her own! I was so proud of her! So now she is saying HELP all the time!!

Port Aransas Trip

Oh, to think this time last week, my Mom & Dad, Jes & Brian, Kate and I were on our way to spend 3 days at the beach in Port Aransas!!

Kate and I left Wednesday to head to my parents house. Kate loves seeing all the cows, dogs and taking a ride with my Dad & Mom around the ranch. My parents had set up a swing for her and of course she LOVED it!! She especially loved when my Mom took us in the ranch truck and she got to sit with my Mom and drive!!






Friday morning we all headed to Port Aransas and all of us ended up there about the same time. It was a beautiful 3 bedroom/3 bath condo that I had rented though Homeaway.com. It was right next to the community pool and within walking distance to the beach(even though we drove). Poor Kate had to sleep in her pack n'play in the closet due to even though the rooms were a nice size, they had really big furniture in them and her pack n' play wouldn't fit anywhere but the closet!! But she didn't seem to mind!

Friday afternoon we all headed to check out the beach. This was Kate's first time to the beach so I was super excited to see what see would do! She wasn't so sure about it the first day.







Next we headed to the pool, and she was like a little fish!! She seems to have no fear at all of the water!





Saturday we spent the morning at the beach, which Kate decided that she LOVED, then headed back to the condo for Kate's nap and then went to the pool after nap. Oh so relaxing!!







Sunday was pretty much the same as Saturday, except that Kate decided to say a word!! Yes, finally after waiting all this time, she said Uh-Oh and then she said Apple!! Right there at the beach--I still can't believe she said it!! I was super excited! She also warmed up to my Dad and gave him a kiss goodbye Sunday morning when he had to leave to go to work. Also, on Sunday one of my high school friends, Karen and her son stopped by. It was great to see them!





Monday morning we hit the pool again and then sadly it was time to go. Kate really did have a great time and she really does love the water. We stayed the night in Alice and then headed home on Tuesday morning.

It was a great trip to the beach with my family. A big thanks goes out to Brian who did most of the cooking while we were there!!!

Deutschen Pfest 2010

This past weekend was the 35th annual Deutschen Pfest in Pflugerville. Mike and I decided to take Kate to the Deutschen Pfest parade on Saturday morning. She seemed to like it, but after 45 minutes she had had enough of sitting in the stroller!! I was surprised that it was an hour long parade--go Pflugerville!! Before the parade, Kate had a blast in the petting zoo. She was chasing the rabbits, petting & hugging the goats and even gave a pony a kiss!





On Sunday I joined some of my friends in the Deutschen Pfest Pfun 5K. Of course, they were running, but Cassie (who is also pregnant) and I walked. I was happy we finished in less than an hour and we were not the last ones to finish!! Maybe next year we can run!

Kate & Bubbles

Kate and I visited my old roommate, Darren, his wife and their daughter, Dylan, this past week. Kate had a great time playing with Dylan!




Kate really enjoys playing in the backyard. She likes to hang out with Trudy as Trudy scares down our neighbor's dog to bark back at her and she LOVES bubbles!

Stephanie & Frank

On Friday night, Mike and I went to my BFF, Stephanie's couple bridal shower. Stephanie and I met in Respiratory Care school many years ago, so their party was filled with RT's!! They will be getting married on June 19. Here is the happy couple singing Karaoke:

Hippin' Hippo

Let me start by saying that Kate spends alot of time playing with boys and is in LOVE with CARS, so I thought she was going to be a TOTAL tomboy!! And then my thoughts changed a bit on Friday when we were at Hippin' Hippo and she saw all the kids in dress up clothes and she decided she wanted to dress up too!! And she wanted to wear a PINK DRESS--I loved her sweet happy face when I put the dress on her!! She really was eyeing the little girls with their princess crowns & hats, but there weren't any left, so she had a great time playing with other hats! Thanks for the invite Lan!

Summer is here!

Gotta love Texas--one day it is spring and the next it is 90 degrees and feels like Summer!! But Kate has been enjoying the nice weather!

We were at the Pflugerville Park from about 8:30 until noon on Friday. We went for a walk, played at the playground and then ended up in the creek. This was Kate on our drive home!


I took Kate to a splash park this morning and I thought she would love it, but not so much!! I think she got scared from being splashed by the water!!



I had a great Mother's Day, thank you Kate and Mike!!
