Alex rolled over!
Last Thursday, on the 22, Alex rolled over from his tummy to his back for the first time!! He was 15 weeks old. He did this 5 weeks earlier than Kate did! He has also started to stick out his tongue and has found his feet! He will laugh, but seems to like crying more! I sometimes feel like he is awake all day long! Today he had a 30 minute nap in the morning and then an 2 1/2 hour nap in the afternoon. He makes me tired, but at least he is still sleeping at least 8 hours at night (I know, I shouldn't complain!!)

Christmas 2010
Christmas was really wonderful this year! Mike and I were so lucky to be surrounded by our families and our 2 super cute kiddos! Kate is still too young to really understand what was going on, but I know next year will be so different! Santa brought us all matching PJs on Christmas Eve! Christmas morning we had the annual Abernethy chocolate chip pancakes, lottery tickets in our stockings and then spend hours opening presents! Kate did ok with opening presents. We should have planned better on the order in which she opened them, we will do better next year. After opening presents we had a great dinner of brisket (thanks HEB) rolls, broccoli-cheese casserole, cheesy garlic mashed potatoes and potato salad. So good!! It was a great day! I can't wait for next year already!! Kate will finally know what is going on and we will have a new member to the family, little Ms Aberlee!!

Before Christmas
On Tuesday the family, minus myself, Alex and Doug, spent the day in San Antonio. They all took Kate to the zoo and went to the Riverwalk for dinner and to see it all lit up. Here are some photos of Uncle Blake and Alex from Tuesday morning.

Uncle Doug and Alex:
Wednesday morning Kristin, Blake, Gram and I headed out to the outlet mall to do some shopping. It was so nice for me to go shopping without the kids! It was a nice break. Thanks to the guys for watching the kiddos! In the afternoon the guys headed out to look at cars and went to Frys.
Thursday we chilled out at home and headed to Georgetown to Gram and Paw Paw's for dinner. We were going to go bowling, as we do every year, but Kate had not had a nap (again) and it was showing!!
Friday was a yucky rainy Christmas Eve and we really didn't do much.

Family photo day
Monday we all put on white shirts and jeans and headed out for the annual Abernethy family photos. Kate didn't do too bad. We then had lunch at Chuys. Kate discovered a love for dipping her chips in the creamy jalapeno. Then she was dipping her french fries in the creamy jalapeno.
After lunch, the boys went golfing and us girls baked cookies! That night we all gathered around to decorate the sugar cookies. Kate was more interested in eating the cookies then decorating them. Aunt Kristin made her a "K" cookie and she ate it!!
