My happy 10 mth old baby!!
Kate turned 10 months old on Tuesday!! I can't believe it! She is still such a happy joyful baby. She loves to dance and claps all the time! She loves books and loves to be read to. She likes to eat, and I sometimes wonder how she is so small with all that she eats! She loves cheese, yogurt, baby puffs and of course Cheerios! She also loves the water and likes to splash me! She is cruising all over the furniture and as you can see on the video she loves to push her toy that is on wheels. She can stand by herself but only for a few seconds. I feel like she is going to be walking soon. She is still sleeping all through the night, and I am down to only breastfeeding her twice a day. My only complaint is that she doesn't nap much during the day! She will maybe take a 45 minute nap all day!! Also, she seems to be going through a "I only want Mommy or Daddy" stage. It was horrible while we were on our trip because she hardly let anyone else hold her but Mike or myself. It's really weird because a few months ago, she would let anyone hold her. Hopefully she grows out of this!
As you can see in these photos, her hair has gotten much longer and is getting more blond. She took really great 10 month photos!

Our TRIP!!
So our trip, to Milwaukee, started July 7 with dropping the dogs off at around 7am. We drove (well mostly Mike) all the way to St. Louis, which is where Mike's sister, Kristin and her hubby live. We got there around almost 9pm (14 hours.) It was a long day in the car, but actually not as bad as Mike and I thought it would be. Kate did a great job all day in the car! The next day we hit up the Arch and Budweiser.
Next we headed to Milwaukee for Mike's cousin, Shelby's wedding. We had a great time in Milwaukee. The weather was so nice!! It was mid 80's--such a relief from the over 100 degree days we have been having in Texas!! We enjoyed spending time with the Sines family, from a baseball game, to golf, to just letting our kids play together. The rehearsal dinner was nice, I loved the Texas cake, Shelby's groom, Sam is from Texas! The wedding was just beautiful!! It was at the Milwaukee Art Museum and well it was just beautiful!! Congratulations to Shelby and Sam!
We headed back to St Louis and went to Grant's Farm with Kristin. We really loved Kristin and Blake's house and felt very welcomed in their home. They were great hosts! Since the trip wasn't too bad, I know we will be making that drive again in the future! Thanks again, Kristin and Blake, for having us!!
We took two days to drive home so Mike could see more Presidential graves. We saw three on this trip: Eisenhower, Lincoln, and Truman.
All in All it was a great trip! And a big plus--Kristin found Mike's favorite soda, Diet Mountain Dew Code Red in St. Louis, so we came home with 12 12 packs!!!
PS. I can't seem to figure out how to get pictures where I want them in my blog so I will just post them in different posts! Does anyone know how to do this? Help!!

My Mom's 54th birthday
Kate and I took a trip to Alice, Texas to hang out with my Mom and to help celebrate her 54th birthday! Jes and Brian were also in town to celebrate with Mom. Kate and I enjoyed our visit in Alice. Kate had such fun there, that one night she fell a sleep in her high chair!! Thanks for having us Mom and Dad!
