Kate's drawing

Kate drew this of me with baby Will in my belly.

Both kids seem excited, but Kate had a melt down with my Mom that she was worried that there wasn't going to be enough kisses for her and Alex once Will gets here.  So sad.  We will have to do lots of talking with her about how important she will be as the only girl and as Mommy's little helper!

They were so cute the morning after Christmas, saying Good Morning to me and to Will.

Christmas Day 2014

Christmas morning!!

Wow!!  Look what I got!

She loves her microphone
Then PawPaw, Gram, Kristin, Blake, Aberlee and Beckham came!  We had cinnamon rolls and chocolate chip pancakes and then opened our socking.

Then on to gifts!!

love all the cousins in their matchings PJs!!

Aberlee's big present from Santa

MeMe and Papa Jamey got here and we opened even more gifts!!

Then we waited around for Aunt Jes and Uncle Brian to get to our house.  We had told everyone that the kiddos had a special sing they wanted to sing to them all.  So as soon as Jes and Brian got there, we made everyone sit in the living room and the kids sang this:

We wish you a Merry Christmas
We wish you a Merry Christmas
We wish you a Merry Christmas
And a Happy New BABY!!!

Yes, Mike and I had been keeping a very big secret!!  We are expecting!!

Most of Mike's family were surprised and my Mom and sister had thought I might be.  Mike and I had known since before Halloween and had been keeping this secret.  We are expecting a boy on June 23.  I didn't know we were having a boy until after dinner when I opened a box with BLUE clothes in it (Kate cried because it wasn't a girl).  Then Mike surprised me BIG time with a shirt with the name William Sterling Abernethy on it, the baby's name.

Mike and I feel so blessed that we had both our whole families at our home on Christmas Day for our big announcement.  We feel so blessed to have such great parents and sibling to share this great news with!!

Christmas Eve

Lizzi, Dougie and Violet got to Texas the night before Christmas Eve and we were all so happy that they were here!!  Christmas Eve we headed to Gram's to have lunch with Grammo.

Kristin did this to Kate's hair--so awesome!!

That night Kristin, Aberlee, Gram, Kate and I headed to a Christmas Eve service.  It was a super small church, but a really great service.  Kids were pretty good.  Kate loved singing and they all loved being able to hold candles!

Then we came home to put out reindeer food for the reindeer and cookies for Santa.  Then Mike read the Night before Christmas.

 And then Santa came!!!

Kate's first Daisy Girl Scout event

Some of Kate's friends from HHP are in a Daisy Girl Scout troop so Kate and I decided to join!  Her first event was caroling at a retirement center.  Aberlee tagged along.  They both did a great job!

Christmas cookies

Since I learned how to use royal icing this year, I decided we would do that to decorate our Christmas cookies this year.  We had a blast!

Kate made this one all by herself!!
