Alex's Easter egg hunt

While Kate and I were bowling, Alex had his Easter Egg hunt at school.  Ms. Paula told me that when she was checking all the kids bags to make sure they all had 10 eggs and Alex asked her "Ms. Paula are you looking for more blue eggs for me?"  Alex ONLY picked up blue eggs during the egg hunt!  So funny!

He also will only drink out of blue cups and eat off of blue plates!  He also doesn't want to wear anything but spiderman!!

Hamilton Pool

For Mike's birthday he wanted to spend the morning bowling and then the afternoon on an adventure with me!  So Mike, Blake and Eric headed out in the morning to bowl and then after lunch Mike and I headed out on our surprise adventure (he didn't tell me where we were going!)  Blake watched the kids and we headed out!

My surprise was a hike to Hamilton Pool!  It was so beautiful!  It was a little cold, but in the sun it was perfect!

Mike's 35th Birthday

This past weekend, we had Aberlee for the weekend as Kristin and Blake drove here on Saturday with their cats.  Sadly, they have moved into their own place.  We are sad that they have moved out, but so happy that they are only down the road from us!!

On Sunday, Kate and I made Mike a special cake for his 35th birthday.  It was a red velvet poke cake with cheesecake filling.  Mike loved it.  Well, everyone loved it!  We celebrated his birthday on Sunday with my sister and then on his actual birthday with Blake, Kristin and Aberlee.

Mike decided it was time to put Kate in soccer so we decided to join Kate's dear friend Jax's team.  She was so excited to play with Jax.  Kristin and Mike took her to academy to get all her gear on yesterday and she couldn't wait to put it on for her first practice tonight.  She looked so cute!

Kate did really well for her first practice.  It was funny, Mike told her to follow her coach and then she was following him everywhere!  It was cute to see her do all the drills.  At the end the coach would throw the ball and then 2 kids had to go after it and try to kick a goal.  Well, Kate had control of the ball and then she ran around the ball so she could kick it in and while she was doing that, her teammate Amanda, kicked the ball into the goal.  Then Kate starting crying and said "but I wanted to win."

New Abernethy members!!

Kate & I cleaned out the fish tank this weekend so we decided to get some new fish!  This time we decided to go with all goldfish. We named them:

White belly-Spider-Man (for Alex)

Mostly white-Bubble (for Aberlee)

Black/gold-Hello Kitty (for Kate)

All orange-beastman (for Mike)

Mike was out of town this week, so it was the kiddos, myself, Aunt Kristin and Uncle Blake all together on Valentines Day morning.  The kids were so excited to open all their presents! 
Alex had ran some fever the night before and was still coughing so I decided to take him back to the doctor.  He still has a ear/sinus infection and is on antibiotics again.  At the same time Aunt Kristin was at the doctor because of her sore throat and she has strep throat.

Kristin and I and all the kiddos headed over to Uncle Brian's and Aunt Jes's for dinner on Sunday night.  Mike left Saturday for another week long trip to Brussels.  After dinner, the kiddos got to roast marshmallows for the first time!

Right after this picture was taken , Kate got her hand stuck in the elevator door!  It happened super fast!  Luckily, my friend Misty was able to pull her hand out and in that moment I was hoping her fingers were coming out with her hand!  She was ok luckily, her fingers were a little swollen, but fine the next day.  It was really scary!
