Alex's 4th Birthday!

Can't believe our buddy is 4!!!

He started his special day by opening presents.  He got a set of TMT from us and some shirts.

Then he opened his presents from Meme and Papa Jamey.  He was so excited to get this captain hook treasure chest that he has wanted forever!!

Then we headed out for the big cinnamon roll that he wanted for breakfast and to the Dollar Tree (which is his favorite place!)  He picked out lots of weapons!

Then the family came over for a chicken nugget lunch, more presents and cake.

present from Gram and PawPaw

His super hero cupcake cake

with Uncle Brian

awesome present from Aunt Jes & Uncle Brian a step rocket!!

After all that, we headed out to his friend's birthday party and then I came home to make these for this class the next day.

His class at school:

I think he had a great birthday!  And his party with Kate will be on Saturday!

First Day of Soccer games!!

Mike got the uniforms Friday night and was so excited that he was able to switch with people and get the colors he wanted for each team.  Orange for Alex's team and Green for Kate's team.  Kate had been sick on Thursday and missed school Friday, but I guess since her strep test came back negative and she only had fever for one day it was just a virus.  She said she wanted to play!

First up was Alex's game.  He refused to play.  Along with another boy on the team and Aberlee stopped playing about half way though the game, so 3 of our players played almost the whole game.  Buddy's BFF Reese even almost made a goal!!

Kate and Jax ready to cheer

Go Ninjas!

Next was Kate's team turn.  Now this game was like at 2pm and was sooo hot.  I don't know how those kiddos were doing all that running!  Luckily, Mike and the other teams coach agreed to shorten the quarters since it was so hot.  Kate did really well and almost made her first goal!!!

Can't wait for next week!!

And so soccer begins!!!

Somehow Mike got talked into coaching both Kate's and Alex's team for soccer this year.  Last night we had our first practice.  Alex did the warm up but then wouldn't practice with them.  Kate did a great job.

Alex's first day of preschool

HE DID NOT CRY!!!

repeat

HE DID NOT CRY!!!

My baby boy didn't cry when I dropped him off for the first day of preschool this year!  The past 2 years he has cried and cried and had to be taken from my arms.  Well, this year he walked right in and sat down and got to work!!!  I guess he knows Ms Karen, since Kate had her, but he just acted so grown up.  I was happy, but sorta sad.  Where did my baby go???

I didn't get a picture of him and Aberlee together, but they are together in the same class with Reese and most of Alex's class from last year.
