Kate has strep and walking pneumonia

Poor Kate, last Monday she came home from school feeling awful with a low grade fever.  I was hoping it was just her allergies, but then she woke up with fever Tuesday morning.  So we spent Tuesday morning decorating for her birthday party and by the afternoon she seems fine and her fever seemed to be gone.  She hardly coughed and was in good spirits once her fever was gone all day!  So I sent her to school Wednesday morning.  As I was picking up some fruit for her party, the school called to say she was sick.  I picked her up and her fever was almost 103!!  We dropped off the food and headed to the Dr!  She was diagnosed with Walking Pneumonia and due to her swollen tonsils, she was also tested for strep.  We got home and once her fever went down, she seemed fine except for her awful cough!  So she stayed home Thursday, which we spent watching movies and hanging out.  Then I got the call that she also had Strep Throat!  We decided to move her party to the next weekend.  I was just hoping she was going to feel better by her birthday!  She was sad we had to move her party, but I knew it was for the best!  She had to also miss her first dance class, soccer practice and her soccer game Saturday.  She got her antibiotics going on Wednesday and then was back to school on Friday.  Oh and she also missed her girl scout meeting on Thursday, but those sweet girls made her a get well card that she just loved!!
