Kate's first dance recital

Kate started a dance class way back in September and we have been looking forward to her recital for months!  The girls in her class have been working so had to get this dance down!  So much so that Kate was getting tired of doing the routine.  Her BFF Leeanne and her family were going to miss the recital due to traveling to Jordan for the summer, so one of the other little girls brother filled in for Leeanne.  All the girls just loved him and he learned the routine in record time!  Kate was lucky that she had her Gram, PawPaw, Meme, Aunt Jes, Uncle Brian, Aunt Kristin, Uncle Blake, Aberlee and her BFF Jax along with Reese, Cassie and a friend from soccer Tristin to see her perform!  Oh and Mike and Alex were there too!  Apparently Alex was calling out "Katiebug, Katiebug" really loud during the performance.

I was pleantely surprised that she let me put makeup on her!

The recital was at the Manor High School Performing Arts Center and as soon as we drove up, Kate said, "this isn't where I have dance!"  Then when she saw the stage, she was really unsure about it all.  My Mom and I had to promise her 4 little ponies and a Ken doll to get her out on the stage!!  But once she went out there, she loved it!!

She was so excited to see everyone after her performance!  She loved her flowers from Aunt Jes and Aunt Kristin!

Her class did really really well!!  I was stage Mom and it was neat to watch them from backstage!  They all did really well, except for one of the girls that ran off the stage!  Poor thing!
After the performance when we went to see everyone, Jax told her that she looked "so beautiful" and gave her a huge hug!
