On our way to the RIVER

Mike had work in South Austin on Thursday so the kiddos and I met him there for our annual trip to the river.  The kiddos and I got there early so we headed to Chick-fil-a for an ice cream cone!  I think this is the first time the kids have ever had an ice cream cone.  They both enjoyed it!

Bowling

Kate bowling with Noah and Chase.  We joined a free summer bowling program with a bowling alley in Georgetown.  It's a super fun place to bowl and the kids love it!

The kiddos and some friends hiked up to Mount Bonnell this morning!!  We had a great time!

Melody's 4th Birthday party

Kate and I went to Melody's Princess 4th Birthday party on Sunday afternoon.  Melody is a little girl from Kate's dance class and the girls really enjoyed being together outside of dance class.  Alex stayed home to nap, the kids were up late at the slumber party the night before!

On Saturday, Kristin and Blake took the kiddos so Mike and I could have some "kid free" time to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary.  Kate and Alex were so excited to have their first slumber party with Aberlee.

Mayfield Park

Gram and I took the kiddos to Mayfield Park this morning.  The kids were afraid of the peacocks at first, but then they all seemed to warm up to them.  It was great looking at them and all the flowers.  After the park we headed out to Phil's Ice house which the kids loved!  We ate outside so the kids could play on their playscape.  It was a great morning!

Our 7th Wedding Anniversary

Gram babysat for us so we could go out for our 7th wedding anniversary.  We headed out to Outback since we had coupons from our last visit there.  Mike was so happy to eat his favorite bacon cheese fries.  I surprised Mike with the fact that Kristin and Blake were taking the kids for the weekend!

On Memorial Day, Kristin and I took the kids to a really great splash park!!  It's actually at one of our favorite parks!  It's a great splash park with a big sand pit also.  The kids had a great time!

School is out (Preschool that is)

The kiddos ended school on May 20 & 21 so for about a week and a half I have both kiddos home with me!  Alex is loving having his sister home every day!  This summer Kate will be going to a dance camp, sport camp and then some week long themed camped at their preschool.  Alex will be going every Tues and Thurs morning to their preschool for June and July.  We went to Sweet Berry Farms and then to Kate's last dance class.

Very busy day!!The next day we headed to Brushy Creek to their awesome splash park.  Alex wasn't impressed, it was really crowded, but Kate had fun.

Saturday was a rainy day so we got some house projects done.

  

Sunday afternoon we headed over to Kristin and Blake's for a Memorial Day BAR-B-Q.  Aberlee is potty training so that was cute to watch
