Saturday night all of Mike's family started to arrive! Gram and Paw Paw flew in at around 6:30ish so we were able to have dinner with them. They were so excited to see KatieBug and see how big Alex has gotten! Next, Aunt Kristin and Uncle Blake drove in. They drove here from their home in St. Louis. And last but not least, Uncle Doug made it here late Saturday night! It is so great to have everyone here!

Kate's Christmas Program at school
Mike, Alex and I went to watch Kate's Christmas program at preschool last Tuesday. Kate has been singing "jingle bells" for about the past 2 weeks and the Ms Becky, her teacher told me that she would be leading the class. Well, I think she sang about one word, but she sure did jingle the bells!! Hopefully next year she will sing! After the program we had cookies in her classroom with her teachers and the other kids and their parents. Sadly, school is out for 2 weeks. I know Kate will miss it!

College reunion in Houston
On Saturday the kids and I met up with 4 of my college friends, Abbie, Merchie, Amanda & Katie and their kids. In total we had 5 adults, Mia, 3 1/2 year old, Noah a 2 1/2 year old, Kate a 2 year old, 5 month old twins, Kylee & Jake, a 11 week old, Haley and a 13 week old, Alex!! It was a little wild, but so fun!! I love that 10 years since we graduated college we still get together! I can't wait for another 10 years when we can get together WITHout chasing all our kids while trying to catch up!
Here are all the kiddos together:
babies-Jake, Alex, Kylee, Haley
kids-Mia, Noah, Kate

We were also able to visit with the kids Great Uncle John and Great Aunt Connie. Here is Uncle John with Alex:

It was a great trip! It wasn't as hard traveling with 2 kids as I thought it would be!

Mia and Kate
The kiddos and I took our first trip together to Houston on Thursday morning. I was not looking forward to traveling with 2 kids, but it went so great!! Kate watched movies the way there and Alex slept the whole way!! We stayed with my college room mate Amanda. Amanda has a 3 1/2 year old daughter, Mia, and her and Kate had too much fun playing together!! It was really neat to see them get along! Kate has been asking for Mia even since we got home! Mia also took to Alex. She would rub his head and was very interested in him. Good thing she was sweet around him since Amanda is expecting a baby in June!

Alex is 3 mths old!!
Jill's first 5k RACE!!!
I did it, I did it!!
For the past 7 weeks I have been training for a 5K race by using the couch to 5K program. Which is a 9 week training program that takes you from laying on your couch to running a 5K. I got the idea from my dear friend Kelly who did this program about 6 months ago. I have never ran before, besides on a treadmill so this was really a challenge for me!! I still can't believe I ran the whole thing in 35:51 minutes!! Much faster than I thought I would be!! BUT I couldn't have done it without my cheerleader and running partner Kelly!! Thank you so much to Kelly and Cassie for all your support!!
So I guess I can say I am a runner now--weird!!
Alex as baby Jesus
Alex and I were asked to be Mary and Jesus in the Pflugerville Community Church's annual Journey to Bethlehem. I was told that Alex was the best Baby Jesus they have ever had in 8 years since he slept the whole 3 hours of the show!! The Journey to Bethlehem is a interactive walk-through drama that brings the story of Jesus' birth to life. Alex was seen by over 800 people!!
