Christy & Jake's Wedding

This weekend, Mike and I had the pleasure of being part of Christy & Jake's special day!! Mike was a groomsmen so we attended the rehearsal dinner at the Oasis on Friday night. It was really beautiful! Saturday was the wedding and Christy & Jake looked like Cinderella and Prince Charming! It was a super fun wedding! Mike had a great time requesting all the songs we danced too!! We also had a chance to see some people from grad school that we hadn't seen in a while.

A special thanks to Jes & Brian for babysitting our Kate! It was soo nice to have two nights out!! So thank you sooo much Aunt Jes and Uncle Brian!!

Kate with the Easter Bunny

Kate and I had a busy weekend!! First I started out the weekend by quiting my job! Yes, I can't believe it, but I am really only a stay at home Mom now! And actually I am loving it! So Saturday we attended the Pflugerville Easter Fest and Kate had her picture taken with the Easter Bunny! She really didn't seem to care, as I learned later on Saturday, she will pretty much let anyone hold her! We attended two birthday partys and everyone loves holding her! I think she is a people person like me! She loved watching all the people at the party also. Lets see, she has also started eating more solids and we have found that she likes green beans, isn't a fan of peas (that is what is all over her face!) and that she LOVES carrots! Also, she is rolling around everywhere so Mike and I also worked on child proofing the house this weekend. She will be crawling in NO time!

Finally a pretty day!!

We have been having such yucky weather lately and today we FINALLY had a nice day! So Kate and I (Mike is in Vegas) headed to the park.
And then we had an early yummy fish fry dinner with Jessica and Brian and then took some pictures in the bluebonnets. I think I will try again another day, she was tired.

Crazy hair Kate

Kate's hair just keeps growing and growing!! It seems to be more curly now!

Hail Storm

We had this crazy hail storm on Wednesday night! We had golf size hail! It covered the backyard, it actually looked like it had snowed! Check out the video we took on youTube!

Kate's 6 month check up!

Height: 24 1/2 inches
Weight: 15 lbs

Dr. Owens said that she has great muscle tone,a very strong core and would be an athlete for sure! Mike and I think it's a little early to say she will be an athlete, but she sure did seems impressed with Kate. She also commented on how good natured Kate was. I was worried about Kate's ears (since she grabs at them or her hair all the time) but she said that they looked great!

Beer picture

I wanted to explain why we took a picture of Kate with the beer bottle--it is to be like this one of me as a little girl, with my Dad, holding a beer bottle!
