Trick R Treating

After the playdate the Newberry family stayed for some Frito pie and then we all headed out to trick r treat!  Kate & Jax got the hang of it super fast and before I knew it, Alex was saying trick-r-treat!  He is so cute!  Alex & Kate both did a great job and we stayed out for about an hour.  Many, Many times we had to tell the bigger kids to take only one candy!  Alex loved to carry his pumpkin around and towards the end was picking up candy and putting it in his pumpkin!

It was a great Halloween, but busy!  I was so tired last night!  But it was all worth it!

Halloween play date!

After picking Kate up from school, we had a Halloween playdate here!  We had 17 kids and 11 mommys here with lots of yummy food and cute costumes!  We even had a costume parade and a costume contest judged by Mike.  Super fun!!

Round Rock Halloween Festival

He doesn't stay still for anything, but he did to watch the juddling!

On Halloween I dropped Kate at school and then Alex and I headed to Old Settlers park for Round Rock's Halloween Festival they have every year.  Alex loved walking around and actually stopped and stood still to watch the juddling.  There were lines for all the games, so I just followed Alex around and saw a few friends.

Oh my goodness!  The girls are going crazy for the squirrels in the back yard!! We have acorns on the ground in the backyard so we have had up to 3 squirrels at a time on the ground in the backyard.  Trudy, who usually hates to be outside, has been staying outside to look for the squirrels for hours.  Sammy has always loved looking for squirrels so she will bark at them and seriously the squirrels will talk back to her!  The kids love to look for squirrels wherever we are sitting to eat.

Lake Forest Fall Festival

Our new neighborhood had a Fall festival on Sunday afternoon.  We invited Aunt Jes and Uncle Brian to come with us. Kate loved the popcorn and the train ride.  Everyone thought Alex looked too cute as a turtle.

Last Tuesday the kiddos and I headed out to the Austin Zoo.  It was beautiful weather and I was so happy to have my beautiful well behaved children with me!  It was so nice to spend a morning with them and not have to yell at them and be able to just enjoy each other.  Alex had a great time roaring at the lions and making money noise at the monkeys.  They both loved the big turtles and a very big pig!  We rode the train and Kate loved feeding the animals.  We all went into the petting zoo and Alex had a ball petting the animals!  They both feel asleep on the way home!  This day reminded me of why I wanted to be a stay at home Mom and what a joy my cute kiddos can be!  It really was a great day!
