Kate and Alex in the bath TOGETHER!!!

This week for the first time we put Kate and Alex in the bathtub together for the first time!! They both seemed to love it!! Kate even wanted to help wash Alex's hair! So cute!

Kindness of strangers

On Friday I took the kiddos to Zilker park for the first time. This is a wonderful beautiful park in downtown Austin. They have a miniature train that I thought Kate would love to ride. BOY was I wrong!!! She fought me getting on the train and then fought and yelled and almost fell off the train once it started going! How did I keep her on the train AND hold Alex I bet you are wondering, well, due to the kindness of the lady sitting in front of me, who offered to hold Alex for the whole 20 minute train ride--we all made it remaining ON the train!!! She was fine once we got off, but it was a LONG 20 minutes!! Alex loved the train ride and didn't mind at all having a strange lady hold him! He was such a joy that morning at the park! He loves to be outside! Here is Kate on the fire truck at the park:

Kate's dollhouse

It is a rare thing when Kate will let me play with her. One night after Alex was in bed, I pulled all of her dollhouse stuff out of the toy bucket and she put everything in the dollhouse. She put people to sleep in the beds and put people in chairs. I love the Prince on the potty!! She will put the people in the beds, cover them up, and then go turn off the light in the living room and say "night night" to them! Very cute! This is how it turned out:

Alex is after Kate!

Alex is always after Kate!! He is after her shoe in this picture! He is always going after our shoes and Kate's cups! He loves his big sis for sure!

Kate LOVES peanut butter these days! I always catch her opening up her PB sandwich and licking the peanut butter! She now does this with peanut butter crackers:

Where did my puff go?

Not the zoo, but the park

We were supposed to go to one of the Austin zoo's today, but due to Kate not feeling well yesterday and the fit she threw after getting into the car, we just decided to go to a park instead. So we headed to Katherine Fleischer park and had a nice easy morning.

Pioneer Farms

The kiddos and I took a trip out to Pioneer Farms on Friday morning. It turned out to be a super beautiful morning and both kiddos did great! Kate Loved the cat, the rabbit and the HUGE pig!! I loved this huge over 400 year old tree! Unfortunately Kate's cough is back and she didn't feel too well on Friday. Alex did great in the stroller and I think he just loved being outside!

On a side note, I have been trying to sleep train Alex all week. We will be going to a wedding at the end of April and leaving the kiddos for 3 nights and I do not want him to be waking up while we are gone. I mean he is almost 7 months old, eats like almost over 12 oz of Stage 3 baby food a DAY, so I know he doesn't need the extra breast milk at night. So I am trying the Ferber's Crying It Out method and it seems to be going ok.

Kiddos with Daddy

Here is Mike playing with our kiddos and reading to them. And a rare photo of Kate actually looking at the camera. I am having a hard time getting pictures of her lately! When Mike will play with Kate, with her on his leg going up and down, she will say "1-2-3 go!" It's really cute! She is talking up a storm lately! She will try to repeat everything and anything that we say! She is starting to put sentences together, which sounds so neat!

Poor Kate, Alex is super mobile now and he will just follow (AKA chase) Kate around the living room. He will try to get whatever she is playing with! We hear alot of "NO, Alex, NO!" But even when he is grabbing at her things, she is still pretty nice to him. But I swear that boy will go for her slippy cup and shoes to crew on every time she leaves them on the floor! Goodness!
