Our sweet little Trudy went to Doggy heaven on Sunday, March 12. She was 13 years old and what a great gift she was that Mike surprised me with!!! She was only 4 lbs when we got her and full of energy!!! We only got Sammy because we needed a dog for our dog!! She was spoiled by Mike the first night we had when I had to go to work ( he let her sleep in the bed)! He spoiled her then and continued to spoil her for the rest of her life!
Unfortunately, Mike was in Singapore when her time came. Probably the hardest phone call I have ever had to make. She was in Kidney failure and had a murmurer in her heart, so she couldn't handle any treatment for her kidney failure. She was in my arms when she took her last breath.
She was our first baby and really Mike's baby.
She loved barking at the neighbor's dog and could jump almost halfway up the fence!! She would play with Sammy, but never really with Maui. She wasn't all that interested in the kids, until they started eating people food and then I say she learned 3 new words--breakfast, lunch and dinner.
She was SOO smart! We took her to classes where Mike taught her with click training. She knew how to sit, shake, lay down, roll over, jump up, high five and I think there were more. She loved to be with her people, so much so that if she was in the backyard and saw us in the front yard, she would find a way OUT of the backyard to be with us!! And even at 13 years old she would do this!
I called her birth control dog because she always slept between us!
