Pumpkin Patch 2015

So I wasn't brave enough to take the kiddos to the Elgin Pumpkin Patch on my own, so we just went down to this Pumpkin Patch on 79.  Kate and Alex both cried when we pulled up, but they came around.  The candy they got when we walked in helped and the free popcorn!

I felt like the worst Mom ever here, as they were crying

Trip to Arkansas and Louisiana

The kids had Monday off of school so we decided to go on a little trip.  Mike had wanted to go to this diamond mine in Arkansas for ages and we wanted to take the kiddos to see my grandmother in Louisiana.  So after Alex's soccer game on Saturday we were off!  We brought bottles in the car for Will, and here is Alex feeding him a bottle.

We had an ok drive there.  Big kids did great and Will did OK too.  Towards the end of our trip, Will starting screaming and screaming and screaming and we were unfortunately in the middle of NO WHERE!!  Poor kid, he had a dirty diaper, needed to burp and was hungry!!

We arrived at about 9pm at the Queen of Diamonds hotel.  Sunday we woke up and had breakfast and headed to the Diamond Mine.  It was perfect weather and Kate really enjoyed it.  Alex was bored quickly and it wasn't very stroller friendly for Will and I.  We stayed there from 9ish until 11:30.

Alex refused to join us

Kate took this!

it was just fields to dig in

Daddy and Kate hard at work!

She loved it!

she was covered from head to toe in dirt!

Next, we headed to lunch and then to my grandmother Helen's house. My Dad was in town for his 45 year high school reunion so he came over to visit with us to.  We had a great visit and Grandmother Helen made us dinner.

he fell fast a sleep in her arms!
Then on Monday we headed home.  It was alot of time in the car, but a great trip!
