Salt Lake City Tour

On Mike's quest to see all the 50 states, we traveled to Utah.  We left the kiddos with my Mom and headed out Wednesday morning.  We were blessed with beautiful weather and walked around Salt Lake City.  Mike fell in love with Belgium food with his travels there and wanted to share their special fries with me so he was so excited when he found out their was a Belgium place in Salt Lake City!  He was so excited with his fries and I probably had the best waffles I have ever had!!

We spend some time looking up our family at the Mormon center and then walked around the mall.  On our way to our hotel, we found this beautiful site and view of the Utah capitol.

Thursday we headed to Idaho Falls.  It was a beautiful drive!!  We stopped at the spot where the railroads joined the East and the West of the United States.

We headed back to Salt Lake city after a lazy morning on Friday and went to an awesome museum!

It was a very relaxing trip with beautiful weather!  Thanks to Mom for watching the kids!  And, especially since Kate was sick while we were gone!  She had a virus causing her to be inflamed everywhere and an awful cough!!!  She missed 2 days of school poor baby!  But she is all better now.

Gram came over and made cupcakes with Alex and Aberlee and then once Kate got home, we all helped decorate the cupcakes.  My Mom had just gotten into town since she is going to be watching the kids while Mike and I go on a trip.

 We had just had Alex and Aunt Jes and Uncle Brian watched Alex for us so we could take Kate out to the farm.  She had awful behavior and we really didn't have that great of a time.

After my parents left, Jessica and I took the kids to the Elgin Christmas Tree Farm Fall Fest.  Hard to believe, but it's Kate's 5th time to go!!  It was Hot, but we had a great time!
