Week in Alice, TX America

Even though I wasn't feeling all that great the kiddos and I headed to my parents house for the week.  The kiddos were super excited and Alex had been asking me everyday "are we leaving for Meme and Papa Jamey's today?"

 I really wasn't feeling well on Wednesday and by Thursday I needed to see a doctor.  I didn't think I was that sick, but I walked out of the doctor office with 4 different prescriptions!!  I had fluid in my ears, drainage down my nose and throat!  I was even running fever at the doctor office.  Due to my not feeling well, we really didn't do much while in Alice.  But Meme and Papa Jamey had a great time just spoiling the kids!

 While we were gone, Mike got a ton done around the house!  He drew this for Alex!

Kate sick with virus week

Of course, while Mike was out of town for Dougie's wedding Kate came down with a low grade fever.  She was not acting herself on Friday afternoon at Pump It Up and when we came home she had fever.  She was complaining of her tummy hurting and then Sunday she still had low grade fever and was complaining of her sore throat.  I took her to the Dr afraid that she might have strep throat.  She didn't have it but the fever continued until about Tuesday. 

Cleaning out closets, I found Mike's Epcot hat.  Perfect for our trip to Disney in October!

It was a long 5 days at home!  She was finally feeling better by Wednesday!

Thursday we finally left the house to go to CEC.

 Then Jax and Reese came over for a playdate.

That  night I had a movie night here while Mike went with Blake & Jake to see a Round Rock Express game.  Kristin came over with Aberlee.  The littles wanted to have a sleep over, and who can say NO to this?

But they did this!!

Friday night, Mike and I hosted a really fun couples game night.  Kids had fun with the ballons!

Uncle Dougie and Aunt Lizzi got married!!  Mike flew up to see their small wedding in Maryland.

The Newberry's have a new member of their family, a little kitty named Shadow.  The kids , especially Kate, already have fallen in love with Shadow and ask daily to go see him (and Jax and Reese of course!)

Jill's 35th Birthday

Alex's last gymnastics class for the summer.  I called him a upside down monkey, and he told me that he was a sloth, not a monkey!

It was a wonderful 35th birthday.  The kids and I had breakfast together, where they sang happy birthday to me.  So sweet!  Then we headed to Alex's last gymnastics class for the summer and to the park for play and lunch with friends.  Then that night, Mike took me out to dinner with friends.  It was a great day and night!
