Storytime with the little ones

Aberlee, Alex and I went to storytime this morning at my favorite library, Wells Branch.  The both started out in my lap, but then both stole these pillows and sat next to each other.

they both fell in love with this frog!

this is right before they started giving the frog kisses!

He-Man

Mike has been busy on Ebay buying Heman figures for Alex.

Alex loves them, but refuses to have "bad" guys sleep in his room!

Goodnight Moon

Kate and I went to our first play together.  It was a musical based on the book, Goodnight Moon.  This book is special to me because I read it to both kiddos when they were babies at bedtime.  Kate and I got all dressed up and headed to the Zach theater downtown.

She wanted to get her picture with the kitties, of course!

with the "hush" lady
Kate really enjoyed it and I loved seeing her clap after each musical number.  It was really cute and I even enjoyed it!  I have to admit that I did get a little wet eyed at the end, realizing that my babies are growing up and would soon ,no longer want me to read to them the "hush" book as they call it.

Hello Kitty cupcakes

LeeAnn came over to make Hello Kitty cupcakes with Kate.  LeeAnn gave Kate this really cute cooker that makes little cupcakes with Hello Kitty's face on them.  Super cute!

PJ day at school

Alex and Aberlee could wear their PJ's to school Thursday and bring along their favorite stuffed animal.  Of course Alex brought his favorite, but second Ellie.  Aberlee brought her favorite Winnie.

The Exxopolis Luminarium

Gram, Kristin, myself and the 3 kiddos headed down to the Long Center to see the The Exxopolis Luminarium.  Unfortunately, we had to wait an hour and a half to get in while standing in misty cold weather.  We finally made it in and the kiddos loved it!  Kate liked the "church" room, which Gram also liked, Alex liked I think the green room and didn't like the red room.  He said it hurt his eyes.

"church' room as the kids called it

we were laying down looking up--I tried to get a picture of us!
