Kate's dance camp

All week last week, Kate got a taste of ballet and tap dancing for the first time.  She really enjoyed it and the teached, Ms Anne, so she will be taking dance this school year! 

I was a bad Mom and only got a picture of her in one of her 5 new (used) dance outfits! 

On the last day they have a dress-up party and the parents were invited!  They had a little catwalk and everything!

RIP awesome orange

One day last week, Alex and I found Awesome Orange the fish to be dead.  Awesome Orange was in the first group of fish Jes and Brian brought the kids back in January.  This was Mike's fish and we are all sad and miss Awesome!  Now we only have Maggie left.

Kate swam underwater today for the first time!! Last week she started to swim without her tube & then today she finally put her face in & swam like a big girl!! So proud of her!!

Vivian's First bday party

On Saturday, Alex and I drove to Dallas for my cousin Jenn's little girl, Vivian's 1st birthday party! 

Kate and Mike stayed home to go to 2 birthday parties, another little girl named Vivian's first birthday party and her BFF Jax's 4th birthday party.

This morning we headed out for donuts with our favorites the Newberrys!

 Then we headed to the fire station for my Mom's group tour!  Kate loved seeing her Best girlfriend Leeanne!!

Mama turns 34

I had a great 34th Birthday!!  Mike and the kiddos sang me Happy Birthday in bed followed with breakfast in bed!!  Kate opened all my cards and then the kids and I hung out with my Mom.  We all went to lunch where my sis Jes met us.

After a great lunch at Chuy's with cake I headed to the Spa to enjoy an afternoon of pampering that Mike gave me for my bday!

After 3 hours at the spa, Mike and I headed out for dinner then ice cream while my Mom stayed with the kids.  After eating, Mike and I walked around Lowe's and then headed home to watch the Olympics.

It was a wonderful 34th bday!

Houston trip

It's hard to believe, but in the fall it will be 15 years since I left home and headed to SWT for college!  It's hard to believe that I have had my awesome Sterry Hall girls in my life for 15 years!  And did we know when we met all those years ago that we would get together and "try" to talk while our kiddos played?

The kiddos, myself, Becca and her daughter,Sophia, all headed to H-town early Saturday morning for our visit.  We all met up at Merchie's house with her 3 kids, Noah, who is 4, and her twins Kylee and Jake who just turned 2.  We let the kiddos play outside in the water and sand and tried to all catch up!  We were also joined by Abbie and Amanda with her 2 kids, Mia who is 5 and Luke who just turned 1.  So we ended up having 8 kids all under the age of 5!!!

Becca and I headed with the kids to our hotel for the night and you would think since none of the kids napped we would get them to sleep early--not so much!  It was a long night.  I don't think I want to sleep in a queen with both my kiddos ever again!

All and all it was really great for us to all get together!

Cake Pops

Saturday morning we had some errands to run so we started out with donuts for the kids!

I don't remember if I posted about this or not, but our house in Pflugerville is still for sale.  We had put it on the market last July after moving to Round Rock and then in December we decided to lease it.  We hired a property mangement company and everything seemed to be going well with our renters until the end of April.  Our old neighbors called us and let us know that they thought our renters were moving out.  Sure enough, their May check bounced and they were gone.  So the house is back on the market.  So every week we have to check out the old house and Saturday morning we went there next!

Then we headed to Bed Bath and Beyond so I could buy a cake pop maker to make Hello Kitty cake pops for Kate's Hello Kitty birthday party in September.  I started working on the cake pops as soon as we got home!  Here is my practice run:

Saturday after nap time I had a baby shower to go to so Mike watched Spiderman with the kiddos.  For some reason, Alex has a thing for spiderman.  Mike says that Alex was talking and asking him questions thur the whole movie!

The strangest thing happened Saturday night/Sunday morning at about 3am.  Kate woke us up crying and Mike found her with her hands  and feet swollen and bites on both her wrists, on her hip and legs.  He took her to a clinic and they gave her a steroid and some benadral and she seemed ok.  So weird, all the swelling was gone by Sunday afternoon.  Sunday morning we did our weekly grocery shopping and then our friends came over to play & go out to dinner.  It was storming when we went out to dinner.  Kate hated being in the rain and Alex loved it!
