House under Construction & cars

Our house is under construction so Kate & I headed to my parents house on Friday morning. That is after we dropped Mike off to buy his new car!! He has a new silver used BMW. A very beautiful & fancy car! Also, we have sold my Honda. I have to say I am sad to see it go, but I guess it's time to let go.
So this weekend our house has been under construction! We are enclosing our media room, & trying to make it sound proof. We are also building a wall & half wall to create a playroom out of our loft area. Mike has been sending me pictures & I can't wait to get home tomorrow to see our new upstairs!!!! I will upload photos when I get home!
Kate is as cute as ever & enjoying being spoiled by her MeMe! She has started trying to make the hand motions of itcy bitcy spider. She is having fun rocking in her new rocking chair that is just her size!
I seem to be feeling ok. Just tired & feeling yucky! We have our first dr appointment for what I will call "baby B" on Thursday. Mike & I have decided not to find out the sex of the baby this time so that should be interesting. I can't wait to see our new baby!!

We're expecting!!

Weekend in Houston

Kate and I took a trip to Houston this weekend. We were joined by my friend from college, Becca. On Saturday we stayed with my friend from college, Merchie. We were greeted by her and her son, Noah, and an Ultrasound!! As I am looking at this ultrasound--I realize that their were TWO babies on the ultrasound!! Merchie is having twins!! So crazy! She is due July 27th. Another one of my friends, Abbie, stopped by to hang out also. Kate had fun playing with Noah, who is almost 2. On Sunday, we spent the morning with my Aunt Connie and then headed to Beach City to see my roommate from college, Amanda's, brand new house! It was beautiful!! Soon after we had a tour of the new house, Merch showed up and then all three kids played together! Kate had fun with all of Mia's (who is 2 1/2) big girl toys. Kate and Mia even took a bath together!! So cute!

It was great to be with old friends! It was really neat to see our kids play together!

Merchie and Amanda--thanks for much for having us!!

Oh--and be sure to check out new videos of Kate!

Kate's belly button!

Kate is like a little sponge right now! I feel everyday she is learning something! She might not be talking but she is trying to make animal sounds now, so that's something. She tries to make a dog sound! She now knows ears, nose, month, chin, head, forehead, toes, eyes, tongue and my favorite is belly button!

Kate's 15 mth check up

Height: 30 inches (60%)
weight: 21 lbs 11 oz (25%)
head: 45.7 ( 35%)

Dr Owens says she looks great! She is worried that Kate isn't talking yet, said she should know 3-5 words by 18 months. So we will see. Kate ran fever all day Monday so Mike & I figured she had
an ear infection since she had had fluid in her ears on our visit for her cough so we started her on an antibiotic. But her ears look fine, so she said maybe she did have an infection & it had already cleared up or maybe she had a sinus infection. She got 4 shots & handled them great!

Molars!!

So I noticed that Kate was putting her hands in her mouth alot today, so I felt around in her mouth and I felt MOLARS on the bottom!! Wow!!

Kristin Christmas

Mike's sister, Kristin, was with us for a few days before Christmas. Since she was not going to be with us on actual Christmas Day, we had an early "Kristin Christmas."
